Winning ways

Last night we headed out to Michael's Bar to watch the footIe. When we arrived (early , of course) a party of Belgians were celebrating their win over Croatia and trying to disprove the myth that the Belgians are The Most Boring Nation on Earth.

The ringleader was wearing a Belgian flag as a cloak and a crown on his head. Several fans were adorned in curly black wigs, presumably in homage to some famous (though not to me, alas!) Belgian player.  A bugle was being passed around. Mr B couldn't resist taking a turn and managed to coax a louder note than any of the Belgians. They left, wishing us luck and saying they would see us in Brazil.

In the hotel lift this morning I met a sweet little tot with curly black hair, wearing a Mickey Mouse swimsuit.

"This is my wonderful Daddy and this is my beautiful Mummy," she told me gravely. Where did I go wrong, bringing up my Foursome?

Like the Belgians and England, that little lass has a Winning Way...

Daily Cribbage competition: Mr B: 1; Me: 1

Running total: Mr B 5: Me: 2

Still striving...
