What a difference a day makes!
Yesterday evening several coaches arrived at our hotel and any number of families disembarked. It must be half term back in England.
Today the hotel is transformed. The pool is
full of children, there are yummy mummies reclining in the sun loungers showing off their new bikinis and daring dads are hurling their offspring into the pool with quite reckless abandon.
I like the transformation personally. There is
a buzz about the place, the outdoor pool has come alive because when did kids ever bother about the cold? There is a water polo match under way at one end and some kind of race on airbeds at the other. I just love the sound of kids enjoying themselves.
Mr B is not so sure. He is concerned that the kids are monopolising the ice cream containers in the dining room and he hasn't been able to get near them. He reports this in the tone of a resentful six year old. Some people never grow up when
there's ice cream at stake.
Then tonight I won both matches in our daily cribbage competition! I have hauled myself up to 16-9. OK I still can't win butt I could make double figures with a little bit of luck.
