Saturday June 16th: Mr B and I met up with my dear friend Hazel and her husband Trevor at beautiful Pulborough Brooks, an RSPB Nature Reserve. Windy weather meant spectacular scenes across the rippling water;
we saw a baby rabbit, eyeing us suspiciously from its burrow; and we heard a reed warbler. Plus I now know the difference between a twitcher and a birder. Such good company, such a special place to visit, such a lovely afternoon!
I was so pleased with myself when this website registered over a 1000 hits in less than four weeks. That is, until I read about 9 year old Martha Payne whose "neverseconds" website recording
her honest ratings for her school dinners, day by day, drew over 2 million hits in just six weeks.
In a bid to learn from Martha's success, I am posting here a photo of the steak
pie I cooked yesterday. I'm not sure it will attract two million hits but Mr B and I enjoyed it. You can probably see that, as explained in yesterday's blog, I am having trouble with my portion control.....
