Just Perfect!

He is here. And he is perfect.

The Middle of the Darling Daughters keeps gazing at him and saying “He is perfect. He is perfect.” And so he is – it’s official: Faris Juba Adli is officially perfect. All 7 lbs 6 ozs of him. Every dark curl on his head. Every tiny finger, every tiny toe.

His father says he didn’t realise it would feel quite like this. Mr B and I, with our vast experience (four children and seven – no, make that eight! – grandchildren) knew how it would feel. But then, every time it hits you anew and rocks you back on your heels as your heart expands to envelop this new life, this special baby boy.

Tomorrow I will tell you more. For today, I am just too full up with love, and relief, and gratitude for a New Life.

Such a happy, happy day! Like Faris Juba Adli, just perfect!

Also, Anne always walked the long way home after Rangers so that I didn't have to walk alone down that lane in the dark. I've never forgotten that kindness...
